When it comes to modeling or anything you do in life, you only get one chance to make a first impression. You want to make sure that your first impression is memorable but in a good way. Think before you speak. Think before you act. Be yourself yes, but also make sure you don't leave people with negative feelings. You think their music is odd? Ask them about it but don't say "Wow, you listen to weird music". There is nothing wrong with stating an opinion but you need to word it in a way that won't be offensive to the person you are sharing it with.
Joking and enjoying yourself is fine, to a point. When on the set you need to follow the direction of the photographer. No playing around unless that is what he/she has directed you to do. When modeling tandem, you both need to act professional. Why even do the shoot unless you are going to take it seriously? A shoot is just like being on the job. Would you joke around all the time while being a receptionist? Jump around when drawing someones blood? This is a job just like any other. We just get to wear more creative clothing and make-up.
One last note, BE ON TIME. Nothing is more frustrating to others than when the model is late. That means the shoot will either run late or you won't get the shots that you are hoping for. BE ON TIME for meetings. They are scheduled for a reason. BE ON TIME for training sessions. They are scheduled for a reason as well. If you are not going to make it on time, keep everyone involved in the loop. Call and say, I am going to be late. If you are not going to make it at all let everyone know that before time. No one likes to be kept waiting. All I ask is BE ON TIME
